The 3-day bootcamp at NSRCEL was truly insightful for VitalView AI.

Not in the way that conference experiences usually are — a collection of useful ideas that fade once you're back in the day-to-day. This one had specific, durable impacts on how we work.

Pitching to the Right People

Pitching in front of curated professionals, especially Dr. Dravid, gave us valuable feedback and clear direction. We came out of that session with an agreement to collaborate on R&D — which is exactly the kind of outcome that happens when you're in a room with the right people and you're honest about what you're building and where it needs to go.

Prof. Handa and Connecting the Dots

Prof. Handa was inspiring. He gifted us Connecting the Dots by Rashmi Bansal — a book that resonated strongly with how we want to structure our business. The core idea: the path of a company is not a straight line drawn in advance, but a series of dots that only make sense in retrospect. What matters is the quality of each dot.

That's a useful frame for a deep-tech healthcare company. Not every step is visible from where you're standing. But the decisions you make — about partnerships, about clinical validation, about which problems to solve — accumulate into a story.

The OKR Session

The OKR (Objectives and Key Results) session was mind-changing.

We had goals. We didn't have OKRs. The distinction matters more than it sounds. A goal is directional. An OKR is a commitment: a specific objective, measured by key results that tell you clearly whether you achieved it. The discipline required to write good OKRs forces clarity about what you actually care about — and what you're willing to hold yourself accountable to.

That session brought much-needed structure to our startup journey.
